If any of you have been excited to play Blizzard’s new upcoming game Overwatch, then nigh is the time to celebrate… Again. This weekend, from April 14-16, Blizzard will be hosting their 2nd invitation-only beta test weekend. In total, the entire beta will last 36 hours, and will include a larger number of players than the last Beta Test Weekend. This means that you will have a better chance at getting in.
So, how DO you get in? Well, for one, you have to go to your Battle.net account page and confirm that you have Overwatch ticked in the Beta Profile Settings page. From there, Blizzard will decide whether or not you are going to be invited based on “including (but not limited to) your Battle.net region, when you signed up, your computer hardware specifications, and an element of luck.”
So, a couple of extra things to note if you don’t want to read through the whole article:
- The beta test will last 36 hours, from Friday, April 15 at 9:00 a.m. PDT to Saturday, April 16 at 9:00 p.m. PDT. (What about my time zone?)
- This weekend is strictly invitation-only. Closed beta players will also be able to play, and this will not be affecting them after the 16th.
- To check if you’ve been invited, either look for the “Install” button on the Overwatch tab of your Battle.net client, or look for an email on the same account that is linked to your Battle.net account.
- If you have a bit more time, read the FAQ on the article.
And, as a last word, Blizzard, I would really appreciate you if you invited me. *wink wink*
