Captain America: Civil War

“I saw my mother crushed to death under a building that you people destroyed. I was trying to pull my mother out from the rubble, watching her bleed to death, while all around me you people were raining down hell!”

The MCU has been 8 years in the making. When the ending credit scene for the first Iron Man film had Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury approach the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist Tony Stark in regards the Avengers Initiative, comic fans knew that something beautiful was coming.

We’re almost a decade in and the cinematic world Disney and Marvel created for us is coming down and it is coming down hard. In about two months (May 6, 2016) Captain America: Civil War will be released to theaters and fans will get a taste of what would happen if superheroes actually did exist (more or less).

With all the city/world shaking events that have happened throughout the short history of the MCU (mainly the events that occurred in The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, and Avengers: Age of Ultron), our favorite superheroes will have to face the consequences of their actions.

In a shared movie universe that span 12 films, it’s easy to forget everything that has happened leading up to Captain America: Civil War.

Thankfully, good guy MCUExchange uploaded a 7 minute video giving fans a quick run through of everything that has happened in the MCU so far.

Before the video, I do want to point out that it shows some clips from Jessica Jones which is a Netflix series that belongs to Marvel’s TV Universe. The YouTube page is not an official Marvel account, so clips and pieces showing non-MCU material do not suggest that it will now be part of the MCU; Kevin Feige has been pretty vocal about not really wanting to cross over both worlds all that much.

Now, here’s the video!
