2K, would you kindly…HURRY THIS BIOSHOCK COLLECTION THE F*CK UP! Yes, yes, I know collections like this are usually done as a means to milk out as much money from gamers as possible. But, this is Bioshock, so it’s different…right? At least, that’s the lie a majority of gamers tell themselves in order to rid them of the regret they feel for buying a game they’ve already played.
Okay, enough unwanted sass.
Bioshock: The Collection has finally been given both a release date, bundle details, and a snazzy reveal trailer. What more could a gamer ask for?
Like most collections, this one will (of course) give you all the installments to the Bioshock series, the DLC to each of them, and enough of a boost in both graphics and performance that you’ll question why anyone still uses previous-gen consoles.
However, Bioshock Infinite will not be remastered for this collection as 2K says, “it already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings.” Instead, the game will be a port of the original.
Bioshock: The Collection will also not offer Bioshock 2 multiplayer functionality.
Along with the basic trimmings, with the purchase of Bioshock: The Collection you will also get the chance to see a never-before-seen video series. What the video will be showing exactly is still up in the air, but it’ll have Ken Levine (lead creator of the Bioshock series) commentating, so I’m sure it will be enough to suffice all the Bioshock-lusting fans out there.
Bioshock: The Collection is slated for a release date of September 13, 2016 and will be available all across the board (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, mobile, N64, Atari Jaguar AND! Atari 2600) of the usual price of $59.99 USD.
The last for are jokes. Please don’t take it to heart .
