One of the first video games I ever remember playing was WCW/nWo Revenge on the N64. Through that game I developed a love for wrestling. Even as I got older I continued to watch and play wrestling games.

As the games progressed through the years, the game series has gone through many changes, as one would expect. So with WWE 2k17 scheduled to release October 11, I thought of five things I want to see return or improved in the next installment of the series.

Create-A-Finisher

This is possibly the most requested mode to return. This mode made its debut in WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009, but hasn’t been in WWE 2K15 or 2K16. This mode would give players a little more tools to play with when they are creating their own superstars.

Season Mode or GM Mode

These modes were in some of the earlier games, and were replaced by Story mode and Universe mode.

While that is the case, a mode where you can play as anybody on the roster and have their own storyline or where you are a GM of one of the main shows and run the show successfully while staying within your budget would provide the game with more content.

Story Mode Changes

The story mode was improved drastically in my opinion from WWE 2K15 to WWE 2K16. With that being said there is still room for improvement; the ability to hold multiple titles at one time and a clearer way to determine if you are making “heel” or “face” actions.

Also, the ability to play as a Woman wrestler would be an addition that many fans (myself included) have been wanting.

Online Servers

Now this is a change I personally care very little about, but I know there is a big group of the game’s community that enjoy playing with one another. I found in my time playing online in WWE 2K16 was that the servers were often down, it was hard to connect to another player, and if you did the lag was some of the worst I have ever experienced in a game. If 2K were to improve their servers, it would add longevity to the game’s lifespan.

Complete Roster

Now you would think this would be a no brainer, but this happened in 2K16. Popular superstars like Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch were all left off the roster. It would be a huge mistake for 2K to do the same thing again this year by leaving off the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, America Alpha, The Revival, Asuka, Apollo Crews, Aj Styles and The Club.
